Prior to the pandemic, this client never gave online advertising its proper due. He is a brick-and-mortar guy at heart and takes pride in building 5 successful stores from the ground up.

The Challenge
Before Digital Goliath took over, the account had a history of owner DIYs and freelancer start-stops. It was barely breaking even.
When the second lockdown was rushed in by the VIC government, this client’s cash reserves were low and needed a turnaround, fast!
KEY PROBLEMS
- Needed to get some quick sales (setup from scratch took less than 1 week)
- 1760+ products (including variants)
- Very little usable Google Ads history
- A direct competitor of much larger, deep pocket players like Rebel Sports
Our approach
- Started with a deep Google Analytics audit to identify products that are most likely to scale.
- Segmented and structured 1760+ products inside Google Ads (account never did Google Shopping before)
- For the first 14 days (including weekends), bids and budgets were optimized daily to maximize ROAS
- Worked with the client’s dev to ensure the feed was pulling in the most up-to-date stock levels and ‘on sale’ prices.
The Result
- Improved the monthly Avg. ROAS from 1.2x ➝ 17x (and no that’s not a typo!)
- In under 1 years worth of Google Ads management, we have generated over $1 million AUD of additional revenue through Google Ads. And this channel is now their majority revenue stream
