Agile Auto is a Maryland-based automotive shop renowned for its all-wheel-drive expertise. They offer full-service tuning, engine building, motorsport support, and custom fabrication, serving a loyal community of car enthusiasts along the East Coast.

The Challenge

Due to the difficulty of finding an ads specialist, Agile Auto had been running Google Smart Campaigns, which generated a high volume of traffic, but were filled with low-intent audiences. It became crucial to realign the campaigns toward targeted, service-specific searches that match the client’s ideal customer profile.

The Solution

When Digital Goliath took over the management of Agile Auto’s Google Ads account, we completely restructured it from the ground up to improve targeting and search visibility.

Our Approach

Our first step was detailed keyword research and competitor analysis to identify high-intent, service-specific terms aligned with local search behaviour.

We also looked closely at how people searched for the car brands Agile Auto specialises in, like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.

Based on these insights, we launched 14 new campaigns — each with a focused purpose:

  • Service-specific campaigns for key offerings
  • Car Brand-specific campaigns to target drivers searching for specialist care for premium makes
  • A Performance Max campaign to maximise visibility across Search, Maps, YouTube, Display, and Gmail — helping Agile Auto stay top-of-mind for local customers. By connecting the shop’s Google Business Profile, we were able to capture valuable local actions, including direction requests from people actively looking for nearby auto services.

This structure gave us better visibility into which campaigns and messaging were driving results, while allowing us to fine-tune both the ad copy and landing page experience for each car brand.

By aligning with search intent, such as matching European car searches with European-focused ads and dedicated landing pages, we created a more relevant and seamless user journey. This approach enhanced ad relevance, boosted click-through rates, and ultimately improved lead quality for Agile Auto.

The Result

In the first three months, the revamped campaigns drove a 148% increase in calls from prospects actively seeking the shop’s services. The Search ads achieved a 7.68% click-through rate and a 7.23% conversion rate, highlighting a strong alignment between the ad content and user intent, ultimately bringing more of the right cars into the shop.
