Hamish’s gift – family time as he battles Brain Cancer

Hamish is a bright, warm-hearted 14-year-old from Melbourne with a love for marine life, Star Wars, and the Western Bulldogs. On his 13th birthday, he was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a Stage 4 malignant brain tumour — leading to sixteen-hour brain surgery, months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and a hard-fought remission. Devastatingly, he relapsed just three months later with new brain lesions and spinal metastases. His mom Jess, a single parent and his primary carer, has exhausted her leave entitlements after 17 months at his side. Funds will help cover lost income and living expenses so she can remain present for Hamish and his sister Anabelle through ongoing treatment.

Alexandra’s Story: A Little Girl’s Battle Against Cancer

Alexandra is a six-year-old girl from Melbourne. Instead of playing at school or spending time with her brother, she is now undergoing treatment for terminal cancer. Her mother, Hilda, has worked as an emergency nurse for over 20 years. She is someone who has comforted countless families through their hardest days. Now, she finds herself on the other side of that experience. Alexandra’s care requires full-time support, and her parents are doing everything they can to stay strong for both their children. We’ve sent our support as the family focuses on creating comfort, stability, and moments of joy wherever they can.

Help Zion Access Life-Changing Treatment

Zion is a “miracle baby” from Coolangatta who fought his way back to life after being pronounced stillborn at birth. Diagnosed with Severe Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) and Cerebral Palsy, he faces complex daily challenges, including epilepsy and vision impairment. His family has identified a specialized neurological rehabilitation program in Mexico that offers hope for reactivating his damaged brain cells and improving his quality of life. We support Zion and his family in their journey to give their little warrior the best fighting chance at a brighter future.
