Instead of handing over a polished but unverified report, AI should be trained to flag risks, show its sources, and surface the details that make human review faster and sharper.
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
- Label risk and certainty levels
Ask AI to tag every output with a confidence rating and flag high-impact numbers like ROAS or attribution shifts for closer review. - Show the source behind each number
Every figure should link back to where it came from — a Google Ads campaign ID, an analytics tag, or a CRM field. If it can’t point to a source, it doesn’t get used. - Reveal the formulas
Don’t settle for just a final number. AI should also show the calculation it used so the reviewer can validate it quickly. - Flag anomalies against history
Get AI to compare results with past data and highlight anything unusual. A sudden spike in CTR, for example, should come with a note for review. - Return specifics, not summaries
Prompts should force AI to tie outputs to exact campaigns, timeframes, and metrics so nothing gets lost in vague reporting. - Keep an error log
